EPP FAQ Page
Frequently asked questions:
Who can enter?
any artist who resides in Victoria (i.e. has a current VIC address), is a citizen or permanent resident and over the age of 16.
Age limit:
We have capped the age bracket at 16 to allow for a more level playing field in terms of years of experience.
What is considered experimental?
This could include material exploration, processes and concept. Please do include process notes in your entry to assist the judges in their deliberation.
Size of artwork
The terms and conditions state that your work can be no more than 2m in any direction, this is to allow for long or tall or three-dimensional works. Things to consider with size is that the exhibition will include approximately 40 artists whose works all need to be equally presented. This can mean that excessively large works may not allow for equal representation and therefore may not be included. This will be at the judge’s discretion.
Installation requirements:
Castlemaine Art Museum is a heritage listed building which means that not all gallery walls can be pinned or drilled into. There is one small gallery where this possible. Please consider this when entering your work as we can only accommodate a small amount.
